Dover, Delaware – Four Delaware police agencies have completed the first series of training on the new CONDORTM system and will now take the components to their individual departments for internal training and ultimately begin using the crime scene management tool and evidence tracking system in their own jurisdictions.
CONDORTM was developed by Advanced Response Concepts, a wholly owned subsidiary of WidePoint Corporation, in cooperation with Delaware State University. Agencies completing the training include: Elsmere PD, Dover PD, Newark PD and DSU Public Safety.
“We are very pleased to see the hardware and software in the hands of the people who need it and will use it to protect our communities,” said Advanced Response Concepts CEO Dan Turissini. “This is the beginning of a new era of crime scene investigation and clearly demonstrates how a paper-based system can move firmly into the digital age with complete security and accountability, and enhance the way police officers do their jobs through good use of technology.”
CONDORTM is a mobile hand-held data collection solution that enables investigators to rapidly and accurately record evidence at a crime scene, stripping away layers of multiple entries and endless forms, thereby increasing efficiencies and accuracy throughout the entire investigative and evidence collection process. It can be used by several team members at once, at both large and small scale incidents, increasing the chain of custody from the scene to the lab and through the court system.
As a WidePoint company, Advanced Response Concepts is a leading provider of advanced information technology offering innovative solutions to government and commercial markets. Our team takes a collaborative approach to solve pressing problems with innovative technologies, ensuring that products coming to market fit seamlessly into the workflow and demands of public safety and emergency managers.
